Our Story
Our Founding
Founded in 2019, Access Distributed was created by Mannie Ajayi and Jessica Holton to make landing internships in finance easier for students at non-target recruiting schools. Through our distributed curriculum, we help fellows succeed in interviews, excel during their internship, and receive full-time offers at the end of the summer.
The Issue
Entry-level jobs in core business areas such as finance, entrepreneurship and consulting often go to people who look the same, come from the same schools and have the same life experiences as people who are already in those jobs.
Check out our Blog to learn more about the lack of university diversity in finance and the impact of this bias on socioeconomic trends in the US.
Our Impact
Since 2019, Access Distributed has gone from 13 students in their pilot Fellowship program to graduate over 160 AD Fellows.
Meet our alumni fellows and take a look at the top finance firms they placed at, despite having no or little on-campus recruitment at their respective schools.
Our Partners
We are deeply grateful for the support of our partners, who are comprised of prestigious private equity firms, leading technology companies and educational institutions that are committed to expanding access for students from underrepresented backgrounds.
